Bernard Woodfine appointed Conklin Community School Principal
Northland School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernard Woodfine as the new Principal of Conklin Community School. Mr. Woodfine is no stranger to the Northland School Division, having previously served as Principal of Conklin Community School. He has also led Father R. Perin School in Janvier, showcasing his dedication to supporting education in multiple communities.
Originally from Conception Bay, Newfoundland, Bernard brings a wealth of experience to his role. He holds two bachelor's degrees and a master's degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has over 40 years of experience as a school administrator.
“Bernard understands the context and our overarching goals at Northland School Division,” said Cal Johnson, Superintendent of Schools/CEO. “I am confident that under Bernard’s leadership, Conklin Community School students will thrive while enjoying an engaging learning experience.”
In addition to his roles as a principal and teacher, Bernard enjoys music, technology, and sharing a few jokes now and then.
